How to uninstall avast removal tool
Remove avast! for clean installation – AVASTCLEAR.EXE
There can be several reasons why someone may want to uninstall Avast Antivirus:
Performance Issues: In some cases, Avast Antivirus might consume significant system resources, leading to slow performance or conflicts with other programs. If you experience noticeable slowdowns or performance issues on your computer, uninstalling Avast can help resolve these problems.
Compatibility Conflicts: Antivirus programs sometimes conflict with certain applications or drivers, causing errors or instability. If you encounter compatibility issues with specific software or hardware on your system while Avast Antivirus is installed, uninstalling it may resolve the conflicts.
Switching to a Different Antivirus: Personal preferences or changing security needs might lead you to switch to a different antivirus solution. In such cases, uninstalling Avast Antivirus becomes necessary before installing the new antivirus program.
Troubleshooting: When you encounter persistent issues with Avast, such as frequent false positives, update failures, or system crashes, uninstalling and reinstalling the software can sometimes help resolve the problem.
If you encounter problems with Avast Antivirus and need to reinstall it, you can use the Avast Clear tool (officially known as Avast Uninstall Utility). The Avast Clear tool is specifically designed to remove Avast Antivirus completely from your system, including any leftover files or registry entries that may be causing issues.
To remove Avast using AvastClear.exe, follow these step-by-step instructions:

Download AvastClear.exe: Visit the official Avast website (https://www.avast.com) and navigate to their downloads section. Look for the AvastClear utility and download the latest version compatible with your operating system.
Prepare for removal: Before proceeding, ensure you have closed all other programs and saved any unsaved work. Additionally, disconnect from the internet temporarily to prevent Avast from interfering with the removal process.
Boot into Safe Mode: It is recommended to run AvastClear.exe in Safe Mode to avoid potential conflicts with other programs. Restart your computer and press the appropriate key (usually F8 or F12) during the boot sequence to access the boot menu. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.
Locate AvastClear.exe: Open the folder where you downloaded AvastClear.exe. By default, it is usually the “Downloads” folder. If you’re unsure, use the search function in your operating system to find the file.
Run AvastClear.exe: Right-click on AvastClear.exe and select “Run as administrator” to ensure proper permissions. If prompted by User Account Control, click “Yes” to allow the program to make changes to your system.
Confirm the Avast product: AvastClear will automatically detect the installed Avast products on your computer. A list of detected Avast software versions will be displayed. Make sure the correct version is selected, which should correspond to the one you wish to remove.
Select uninstall options: AvastClear will provide you with several options for the uninstall process. Typically, you should select “Uninstall” or “Remove.” It’s recommended to choose the option to “Remove all files from all users folders.”
Begin the removal process: Click on the “Uninstall” or “Remove” button to initiate the removal process. AvastClear will start removing Avast files and components from your system. This process may take several minutes, and your computer may restart automatically during the procedure.
Restart your computer: Once the removal process is complete, AvastClear will prompt you to restart your computer. Save any unsaved work and close any remaining programs, then click “Yes” to restart your computer.
Check for remnants (optional): After restarting, you can check if any remnants of Avast are left on your system. Open the Control Panel and navigate to “Programs” or “Programs and Features” (depending on your operating system). Look for any remaining Avast entries and uninstall them manually if present.
Reconnect to the internet: Once you have confirmed that Avast has been successfully removed, you can reconnect your computer to the internet and resume normal operation.
Remember, removing antivirus software leaves your computer vulnerable to malware threats. If you decide to uninstall Avast, make sure to replace it with another reputable antivirus program to maintain the security of your system.
